Christine Scott grew up in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. She started swimming and running competitively in elementary school, and continued these sports through high school and college. In 2005, she graduated from Grove City College (in Pennsylvania) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Just over a year after graduation, her job brought her to the Central Coast of California where she took up surfing. She enjoyed spending time in the ocean, but eventually found herself missing the level of fitness and challenge of competition that she enjoyed in collegiate swimming and running. With the encouragement of a co-worker, she signed up for a local sprint triathlon in hopes that it would give her motivation to work out regularly. What she didn’t anticipate was the fact that she would fall in love with the sport of triathlon.
Over the past few years, Christine has enjoyed success as an elite amateur triathlete. She is looking forward to representing Freeplay Magazine and Coeur Sports in the 2016 season where her main focus will be racing Ironman Canada. She also hopes to qualify for and compete in the Ironman World Championships this year.
