Rocklin, CA (February 17, 2015) – Team Freeplay, a Northern California based women’s team composed of both professional triathletes and top age-group athletes, is proud to partner with Boost Swimming this season.  Boost Swimming an emerging company in the sports and outdoor industry that is committed to helping swimmers and triathletes of all ages and abilities achieve their athletic goals. Boost Swimming, which is based out of the Sacramento-area, was found by Coach Jeff Pearson.  Pearson has 20 years experience working with some of the world’s best swimmers. Person is a two time USA National Open Water Swim Champion and a USA National Team Member. Working with Pearson at Boost swimming is Coach Chris Stehula.  Stehula has 15 years of triathlon racing experience which includes 2003 Junior Elite Triathlete of the Year, a Collegiate National Championship title, and 8 years of racing as a professional triathlete. “Partnering with Boost Swimming this season is a great opportunity for the women on the Freeplay triathlon team,” said Stephanie Artis, Freeplay triathlon team director. “This new partnership will enable Freeplay team athletes to work on their open water swim techinique and improve their swim fitness through Boost Swimming’s guided workouts.” In addition to offering four weekly open water swim options at Lake Natoma and in the Tahoe area, Boost Swimming hosts clinics, conducts private instruction, performs underwater swim analysis and creates custom training programs for athletes. Freeplay Triathlon Team to Start Their Season

Freeplay Triathlon Team athletes plan to kick of their season in a few weeks. The squad which is composed of three professional athletes, an elite amateur and 6 top age-group women are looking forward to a busy season of training and racing. Both professional triathlete Sarah Cameto and elite amateur Laurence Delisle train under Matt Dixon. Both Cameto and Delisle will kick off their seasons at the Purple Patch Pro Training Camp in Kona at the end of January. While Cameto and Delisle are training on the island, several athletes plan to start their seasons closer to home at some Northern California road races. On February 1st Stephanie Artis, team director and Freeplay athlete, plans to start her season with a short and quick 5k at the Super Sunday Run hosted by the Sacramento Running Association. Elise Winter plans to compete in the 10k at this same event. Winter won the MandaRun Half Marathon last fall and looks to set a personal record in the 10k. On this same weekend Caroline Lea, who placed 7th in The North Face 50k in December, and Anna Hertel, who posted the fastest age-group bike split at the Miami 70.3, will be racing the Kaiser Permanente Half Marathon in San Francisco.
